Blue Skeletons are an enemy in Redungeon.

Appearance[]

Blue Skeletons appear to be made of a large skull and two bones cross underneath when resting. When the player approaches, the eyes glow blue.

Once a blue skeleton is activated, it floats into the air. It's two bones levitate below the skull as it moves, with it's entire body surrounded by a faint blue hue.

Behaviour and Strategy[]

Blue Skeletons are only activated if the player moves within 1 tile of them, and perfectly copy the player's movements as they chase. Making extra moves can cause skeletons to back up into each other, slowing them down. These two variables combined, as well as their slow speed, makes the blue skeleton not much of a threat in a vacuum.

However, most trap setups with blue skeletons are designed to trap or trick the player somehow, and most use strategically placed cobwebs to slow the player's movements and allow the skeleton to potentially catch up. Paying attention to the placement of any cobwebs or mimics is helpful, if the skeleton cannot be avoided entirely. Moving quickly and making sure you can quickly break free from webs makes skeletons a very minor threat.

When playing as Creep A. Crow, blue skeletons are often made extremely easy. Creep A. Crow's ability to skip webs bypasses most of the traps, their Boo! ability kills them, and Bridger often allows activating skeletons to be bypassed. When playing Creep A. Crow, pay extra attention to the ability to avoid activation entirely.
